NR06 PPE Course English
The NR06 PPE Course English aims to qualify the participant to understand and apply, in a technical and safe manner, the requirements of Regulatory Standard NR 06, focusing on the specification, correct use, conservation, replacement, and legal management of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in national and international operational environments.
The training is delivered entirely in English, promoting mastery of technical vocabulary and normative guidelines in a foreign language, which enables professionals to work safely in multinational companies, offshore operations, bilingual contracts, and international audits. In addition, the course guides legal compliance with the use of certified PPE (with valid CA), issuance of ART, risk analysis, and integration with other standards such as NR 10.

NR06 PPE Course English: What characterizes PPE according to NR 06?
Personal Protective Equipment is any device or product, for individual use, intended to protect against risks capable of threatening safety and health in the workplace. It must have an Approval Certificate (CA) issued by the Ministry of Labor and Employment, be appropriate for the risk, provide comfort, and not create new hazards.
The simple appearance of equipment as “protective” does not validate it as PPE. The legality and effectiveness of the equipment are linked to the CA, compatibility with the activity, and worker training.
How to ensure that the PPE is technically suitable for the task?
To ensure that the PPE is adequate, the technical professional must verify:
If the PPE has a valid CA compatible with the risk;
Size, model, and technical specifications meet the task and the worker’s body type;
If there is proof of laboratory tests, technical reports, and manufacturer instructions.
In addition, it is essential to have a formal inspection procedure, documented training, traceability of delivery, and evidence of preventive maintenance. All this must align with the company’s risk inventory.
When does the use of PPE become mandatory?
The use of PPE is mandatory when collective and administrative protection measures are not sufficient to eliminate or neutralize occupational risks. NR 06 establishes that PPE must be adopted after conducting the Preliminary Risk Analysis (PRA) or risk inventory according to the NR 01 PGR.
Its use also becomes mandatory in emergency situations, critical tasks, temporary work environments, access to confined risk areas, or when handling chemical, physical, and biological agents. Therefore, non-compliance implies civil, labor, and even criminal liability.
Role of the technical professional in PPE management
The technical responsible professional, usually a safety engineer or qualified safety technician, must:
Technically validate the PPE purchased (CA, compatibility with the risk);
Issue technical guidelines, prepare reports, assessments, and ART when necessary;
Audit correct use, advise replacements, and train teams.
Ensure that the obligations under the NRs are being met in documentation.
Furthermore, their role is strategic and legally linked to the company’s OHS management system, with civil and criminal responsibility.

NR06 PPE Course English: Why do many accidents occur even with PPE use?
Because simply wearing PPE does not guarantee protection if there are adjustment failures, incompatibility with the activity, lack of training, or behavioral resistance. In addition, many use PPE only when supervision is present, treating it as an accessory rather than a life-saving tool.
Another common factor is the false sense of security, which leads the worker to make mistakes. Therefore, PPE management must be strategic, focusing on situational awareness and continuous positive reinforcement; safe behavior comes before physical protection.
Impact of the NR06 PPE Course on global companies
Training teams in English allows standardization of technical communication, reduction of interpretation failures, alignment of local practices with international standards (such as ANSI, ISO, OSHA), and integration of multinational units under the same safety protocol.
Thus, companies operating offshore, in binational projects, or receiving international auditors value and often require bilingual qualification as a minimum competency criterion. This training increases employability and strengthens institutional compliance.

Technical Facts of the NR06 PPE Course English:
Improper use of PPE is as dangerous as not using it:
Wearing a poorly sealed respirator, a loose helmet, or a safety belt attached at the wrong point creates a false sense of protection. This increases behavioral risk and operational negligence.
The course in English opens doors for international work:
By teaching NR 06 in English, the qualified professional can work on offshore platforms, multinational companies, bilingual operations, or companies with headquarters abroad that require technical knowledge with standardized international vocabulary (ANSI, ISO, CSA, OSHA).
All PPE has a technical validity and disposal period:
Many ignore that equipment such as insulating gloves, welding masks, hearing protectors, and footwear have a defined service life—even if they have never been used. Technical expiration is legally recognized.
Many PPE items are tested using extreme laboratory methods:
Gloves, footwear, helmets, and safety goggles undergo impact, fire, electrical, puncture, traction, and chemical agent tests, all simulated in laboratory conditions. Those who do not respect PPE ignore cutting-edge science.
The Approval Certificate (CA) is not optional or decorative.
Working with PPE without a valid CA is a direct violation and subject to fines, interdiction, and civil liability for the employer. In addition, technicians and engineers who sign ARTs are also held accountable.
Clarification: The purpose of our Course is to enhance the student’s knowledge step by step on how to prepare the Technical Report. What qualifies the student to sign as a Technical Responsible Person are, above all, the professional attributions they possess before their Regional Engineering Council (CREA).
Our pedagogical project follows the guidelines imposed by Regulatory Standard No. 1.
After payment confirmation, Purchase Order, contract signed between the parties, or any other form of finalization, the didactic material will be released within 72 business hours (up to 9 days), due to the adaptation of the programmatic content and compliance with the Technical Standards applicable to the scenario expressed by the Contracting Party, as well as other adjustments to the didactic material carried out by our Multidisciplinary Team for technical language according to the student’s nationality and the specific Operational and Maintenance Technical Instruction Manuals of the activities to be performed.
