Inexperienced Participants:
Minimum credit hours = 32 hours/class

Experienced Participants:
Minimum credit hours = 16 hours/class

Update (Recycling):
Minimum credit hours = 08 hours/class

Updating (Recycling): The employer must carry out periodic Biennial training and whenever any of the following situations occur:
a) change in work procedures, conditions or operations;
b) event that indicates the need for new training;
c) return from work leave for a period exceeding ninety days;
d) change of company;
e) Exchange of machine or equipment.

Primary Assessment Saves More Lives Than Equipment
Correct identification of airway, breathing, and circulation failures prevents critical deterioration. Knowledge and decision making matter more than tools during initial response.

7.1 OBJECTIVE
7.1.1 This Regulatory Standard – NR establishes guidelines and requirements for the development of the Occupational Health Medical Control Program – PCMSO within organizations, with the objective of protecting and preserving the health of their employees in relation to occupational risks, in accordance with the risk assessment of the organization’s Risk Management Program – PGR.
7.2 SCOPE OF APPLICATION
7.2.1 This Standard applies to organizations and public bodies of the direct and indirect public administration, as well as to the legislative and judicial branches and the Public Prosecutor’s Office, which have employees governed by the Consolidation of Labor Laws – CLT.
7.3 GUIDELINES
7.3.1 The PCMSO is an integral part of the broader set of initiatives of the organization in the field of employee health and must be harmonized with the provisions of the other NRs.
7.3.2 The PCMSO guidelines are:
a) to track and early detect work-related health impairments;
b) to detect possible excessive exposures to harmful occupational agents;
c) to define the fitness of each employee to perform their assigned functions or tasks;
d) to support the implementation and monitoring of the effectiveness of preventive measures adopted by the organization;
e) to support epidemiological and statistical analyses on health impairments and their relationship with occupational risks;
f) to support decisions regarding the removal of employees from work situations that may compromise their health;
g) to support the issuance of notifications of work-related health impairments, in accordance with applicable regulations;
h) to support the referral of employees to Social Security;
i) to provide differentiated monitoring of employees whose health condition may be especially affected by occupational risks;
j) to support Social Security in professional rehabilitation actions;
k) to support professional readaptation actions;
l) to control active immunization of employees related to occupational risks, whenever recommended by the Ministry of Health.
